If any of you out there have ever doubted the benefits to eating healthy or whether food can cure you of long term illness, you may want to watch ‘Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead’.
The first reason I started this website was to prove to people that what we put in your bodies, determines how it functions. I have suffered with chronic constipation since a child but in the beginning of 2014 that all changed, when I decided to adapt my diet to what my body needed nutritionally. I now rarely suffer with constipation and am in full control over my digestion.
Yesterday, I watched an amazing; not to mention inspirational documentary film which began with one less than healthy man, named Joe Cross, and his journey across the US while on a detox juice diet. At the beginning of the film he weighed in at 310lb (140kg) and was on large quantities of medication to keep him stay alive from a rare autoimmune disease. He had exhausted all other avenues to regain his health, alternative medicine, doctors, none of which worked. Instead he turned to the body itself and ate (drunk) nothing but micronutrients for 90 days.
He gave up junk food and unhealthy eating habits and traded it all in On his journey around the USA. Coincidently it was an Arizona truck stop that he meets Phil Staples a truck driver with the same rare autoimmune disease and morbidly obese, weighing in at 429lbs (194kg), it is from here that the documentary turns it’s attention to Phil. We see him desperately in need of help physically and emotionally, and it is here we watch the first day of his future life unfold.
I won’t tell you anymore about the film, but if you are suffering with a chronic illness, disease, weight problems, I recommend you watch this movie to believe that with a balanced diet and lifestyle your body is able to heal it’s self and no longer rely on medication.
*If you become inspired by this film, before starting any detox or change of diet please consult your Doctor beforehand.
