Recently I have switched up my workout routine and stated incorporating heavyweights. It was pretty much inevitable I was going to get into weight training at some point coming from both parents who were professional bodybuilders. However, my plan is not to ‘bulk’ (often a misconception when it comes to lifting weights), I’m just looking to sculpt, define and get strong.
As a result, my workouts are going well, yet I seem to be burning through energy, so my body is craving food! Usually, I have an afternoon snack which consists of a handful of pumpkin seeds which will usually be enough to see me through to lunch with a cup of herbal tea in but it’s just not cutting it since going to the gym. This protein shake is a godsend for a pre-workout meal. I pack it with egg protein from Bulk Powders, Almond milk from Innocent a few carbs from the banana and gives a bit of a caffeine-kick to give you a little added oomph to your workout. The best thing is it’s gentle on the gut and no sugar added.
