I love coffee especially lattes and when the doctor told me I had to give up milk and even possibly soya milk because some brands contain some sugars I can’t tolerate, I almost cried, what can I put in my coffee then? Don’t get me wrong I like black coffee now and then but I do like it to be a little creamy sometimes.
So I thought what can I put in it? well I read up on-line about Bullet Proof coffee. Most gym fanatics use it as it contains MCT oil from the coconut oil (I know most FODMAP diet exclude coconut oil but the university of Monash has given the OK to coconut oil, but coconut cream, milk and flesh is still a big no, no as it contains fructans) and butter. The coffee is supposed to increase physical performance, some even go as far to say it gives them mental clarity too. For me its a great source of saturated fats (which yes, you do need and no, there’re not bad for you in moderation) and it tastes creamy and rich, yum!
